Starting this coming October, tourists from Russia will be able to visit Israel without needing to obtain a tourist visa. In the coming days the order for entry into Israel will be revised as per the agreement that was recently signed between Israel and Russia for mutual cancellation of the requirement that tourists have visas. Ministry of Tourism reported to the committee that in recent months there has already been felt a quality of enthusiasm, anticipation, and interest among the big tourism operators in Russia due to the signing of the agreement. When it comes into effect, it is estimated that over the next few years the number of tourists visiting Israel from Russia can be doubled or even tripled.
