The minister and the Knesset Speaker thanked the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his involvement in promoting the candidacy of the Dead Sea in the New 7 Wonders of nature online campaign, an issue that the PM

raised and was approved in the last cabinet meeting.The Minister and Knesset Speaker voted online for the Dead Sea as one of the New7  Wonders of Nature (www.new7wonders.com) and called on all Israeli citizens and friends of the Dead Sea around the world to vote before the end of the campaign on 11.11.11. The Tourism Minister noted that a win in the campaign for the Dead Sea would contribute significantly to the economic and tourist development of the region, increase employment and improve Israel’s image in the world. The Tourism Ministry is leading a far-reaching NIS 8.75 million international campaign to promote the Dead Sea’s candidacy.
