Tourism in Eilat is in need of an upgrade. That is something everyone agrees on. There need to be more diverse attractions to lure the tourists to this small city. A lot of people come here as a family vacation with their kids. There are of course things to do in Eilat – the Underwater Observatory, the Dolphin Reef. But these are usually places you visit once and don’t return to in your second visit. The city needs a place that would be enticing for kids and adults to visit more than just one time. A place that would be fun. art_and_science.jpg

An interactive art and science museum can do just that. Anyone who has visited the Science Museum in Jerusalem or the Youth Section at the Israel Museum knows how kids enjoy themselves with the different activities. These are not museums in the traditional sense. There is not one exhibit at the Science Museum that you just look at. Each one has a button that activates something. The kids love it. And there are changing exhibits that provide something new to see every few months.

Creative art projects are also things kids love and can do for hours without getting bored. An art and science museum in Eilat can concentrate on a theme of water and the ocean and can provide endless creative and interesting outlets for kids and the adults that accompany them.

This project can also help tremendously with the issue of education in Eilat, something that is an ongoing problem according to many who live here. In Jerusalem, the local kids have a free pass to enter all the main museums in the city.   A similar thing can be done here. Eilat kids can have free entrance to the museum. They will have an enriching and fun place to go to in the afternoon. In this way they can see that learning can be fun. It would definitely make a difference in the way they view education.

If there are any businessman, Investors or entrepreneurs out there, who agree with us, How about taking this on - it might just become a huge success!.
