Ice rink coming to the sun drenched city of Eilat PDF Print E-mail

michellekwanLet's go iceskating in eilat

Eilat residents and tourists are eagerly waiting for the opening of the new spectacular Ice rink and Mall complex. something you wouldn’t quite expect from the sun drenched southern Israeli city - an ice rink.
This new tourist attraction will have an olympic ice rink covering 1,800 square meters, and scheduled to host international competitions and ice hockey tournaments. There will be a range of attractions including sledges for kids, professional ice performances, ice skating instruction and more
The Mall around the rink will house leading fashion and designer stores from Israel and abroad. This huge complex is going to be an amazing new addition to Eilat, and hopefully we will be lucky enough  to see  international performances by skaters like Michelle Kwan opening before the end of 2011  -  we hope!

It's another excuse to open a shopping mall where the prices will be high as I'm sure the rent will be high as the cost to run an ice rink in the summer must be enormous, howeve r what better why to keep cool in the summer.

I love the idea as i miss ice-skating,however the energy to run it must be sustainable.I propose and hope that the wonderful domed roof will be for solar panels which should supply enough energy for all it's uses.
