| Big Golf course plans ahead for Eilat |

 The planned golf course which Rafi Hochman began to promote  in his days as mayor,
will be part of leisure and sports complex built adjacent to the bypass road. It will extend
over an area of 861 acres. Will have 560 Â suites and apartments. Golf Club, Golf Academy,
sports clubs, convention center, swimming pools, an amphitheater, cafes and tourist trade.
Public tender published by the Tourism Ministry and Israel Land Administration will be distributed
by the Ministry of Tourism offices worldwide. winner of the tender would probably  be a foreign entrepeneur,who has ownership experience of a golf course.
Eilat municipality spokeswoman said last week that the ministerial committee for developing the Negev andGalilee, headed by Vice Premier Negev and Galilee Development Minister, Silvan Shalom, approved a planformulated in conjunction with Minister of Culture and Sport Limor Livnat, which aims at "positioning Eilat astourist city and international sports." She said: "The financial assistance initially given by the Ministry of Culture
and Spor,t and the Ministry of Negev and Galilee Development will be assigned in part to host a world championshipsand European championships in different sports."
Acting Deputy Mayor Eli Lankry, raised to the ministers, the program promoted for years by the municipality,
the establishment of an international sports court Kiryat 18, east of the airport. The Israeli Center is scheduledto include: Olympic Village, commercial and municipal sports center, an Olympic swimming pool, stadiuma 6,000-seat indoor, fitness rooms and spa rooms, squash courts, an artificial ski track, guided activity rooms,
ten tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball and handball, athletics and extreme sports facilities,
events and congresses center that promotes Rafi Hochman.
