The Butterfly Effect began in Hawaii in 2007 by water women, Tatiana Howard and Juliana Shelef. Since then Tatiana and Juliana have flown to organize the event in Brazil, New Zealand, France, Oregon, Germany, Tahiti, Dominican Republic and Australia for group surf sessions and clinics.  The main sports have been windsurfing, stand-up paddle, and kiting but, does not limit itself to other sports that have been done such as wake boarding, surf, and kayak.
