| Israir airlines has announced that starting in November it will be operating four flights a week to Moscow. Some of the flights will be directly to Eilat. Israir deputy marketing director Shai Marina, stated that the recent agreement between Israel and Russia to cancel the need for visas between the two countries will result in a huge upswing in tourism to and from Russia and that Israir has expanded its routes to accommodate that increase. He specified that direct flights between Moscow and Eilat were included in response to the Russian tourism demand due to tourists wishing to come straight to Eilat. |

Israir Group’s deputy director, Zohar Endelman, said that “We see Moscow as a strategic destination for the company. During the first state the flights will be operated as charters and later on, upon receiving a permit from the Ministry of Transportation, we will operate the flights as a regular route fort he benefit of Israeli and Russian travelers.”
Israir says that the flights to Moscow will operate on Mondays and Fridays, while flights from Moscow to Israel will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The flights will be using Airbus A-320 planes. The price for the Tel Aviv - Moscow route will start at $418. (Eilat prices were not mentioned).
