87 swimmers and 120 coaches, judges and escorts from 22 countries have reached the southern city. The Organizing Committee approved the request of the Polish Association to participate in the championships, and a Polish swimmer with his trainer landed the day before the championships. The Turkish delegation also landed in Eilat including six swimmers, a coach and a judge.
The swimmers, participating from 22 countries across Europe, will compete for the right to represent their country in 2012 London Olympics. There is a wonderful international atmosphere here in Eilat, with flags along the beachfront and loads of sport energy. Good luck to all Swimmers and we hope you enjoy our city. |
