The city of Eilat will host the European Championship Open Water Swimming, which will take place between 7 - 11 September. Eilat is indeed now officially recognized by the government as a City of  International Sport.  After the success of the recent European Open Water trials held in Eilat, it was decided that Eilat City will host the European Swimming Championships, with hundreds of swimmers from 40 different countries. 

The swimmers will compete over a distance of 25 km along the north shore of Eilat, between the borders of Egypt and Jordan. It is going to be a great event for residents,Tourists and especially for sports lovers.
