Rookies (beginners) play slow pitch. The rookies enthusiastically come in not knowing much about the sport but, one day a week is set aside for them to learn the rules and the basics of how the game is played. All equipment is supplied by the league but, players are recommended to buy their own gloves which the league orders. The season lasts from October to May.Youth games are played every Friday on the grass at the Municipal Stadium, Rehov Kampen, Eilat, Israel, on the Red Sea. League playoffs are in April and May. There is a Softball Awards outing yearly on the Red Sea in May/June to give trophies to the winning team members. They are not the only players to receive recognition. There are other awards given for Most Valuable Player, Best Stats, Most Walks, Home Runs and more. Newcomers and visitors are invited to watch, cheer or register.
