Tal Glicksman, international sailor of ‘Optimist' boats, won second place in the important examinations competition held in Ashdod in May.  She and Itai Eidan, who finished fifth in that competition, are considered leading sailors and competitors for a place in the Israeli delegations to international competitions. 

During the previous weekend, Eilat's Olympic windsurfing contender, Shachar Tsoberi, ran a training camp in preparation for the adult Israel Championship being held this weekend in Tel Aviv.  Eilat will be represented in this competition by windsurfers using the Olympic model.
