125 KG fish caught in AqabaA career Jordanian fisherman has caught a rare 125-KG fish, the largest ever found in the Gulf of Aqaba, breaking his previous record, a 106-KG fish hooked two years ago. Royal Jordanian Marine Sports Federation member and former Amateur Fishing Sports captain Marwan Shreim told Petra that the giant fish looked like a Sword Fish, which is rare to exist with such a weight in Aqaba waters. He said the fish was caught at a depth of 700 meters after a three-hour struggle.

"These species of fish with such a size can only live in the deep sea water where they lay eggs,  and when they come closer to the surface they lose vigor, and die if there for a long period of time," he explained.   Link to Report

I find this story hard to believe. If he is a renowned fisherman surely he knows what kind of fish he has caught and secondly it is rare for sword fish to go as deep as 700 meters.p
