The Red Sea Ranger divers went on their last cleanup dive of the school year last Saturday.Meir Itzhak Halevi, the Mayor of Eilat, was invited to the exciting and festive occasion.  Without hesitation, he waded into the water to wish the young divers well at sea level.

The cleanup dive was also joined by volunteer divers, Nature Reserves divers, and instructors from the Manta dive club.  During the operation carried out in front of the Tzion and Papaya beaches, several hundred kilos of ‘common Eilati rubbish’ were collected. At a rough estimate, it can be concluded that in the cleanup dives carried out by the Red Sea Rangers and volunteer divers during this year, several tonnes (!) of garbage were removed from the sea
