Dear Visitors to Eilat
You can combine a fun afternoon in Nature with an opportunity to save an important part of our local landscape.
As has been done in many communities, we have exploited and destroyed our local environment and have arrived at  the last  example of sand dunes in the region.  These dunes are the home of many rare or unique species of plants and animals.

 

For some reason the government department responsible for quarries has decided that these dunes must be a source of building sand for the city of Eilat despite the availability of affordable sand from other sources.
Come help protect our dunes, guided tours of the dunes will be given, there will be performances and activities for children.
Rides to the Dunes will be provided for free.  from Beit Rubin next to the Municipal Library
