Boombamela festival will take place this year for the 13th time 21-23 April 2011- and this year it will be held in Eilat for the first time, with thousands of youngsters coming from all over the country.The festival creators decided to take the event one green step forward, and came up with a plan,to encourage awareness and values of preserving the environment and the importance of recycling.

 

 

 

Festival organizers set up a green brigade cleaning compound for the treatment and recycling of waste, and Members of the "Green revolution" will replace the traditional cleaning crews. Although it would be nice if people would simply pick up after themselves, the new plan to create a green environment at Boombamela, is simply: "collect garbage, you will receive five shekels," Assemble  cigarette butts and Get a glass of cold beer. [obviously for age 18 and over] " This is the new program to encourage a green environment "This is a WIN WIN situation for all parties, says Galia Arnon, the CEO of the festival. "It is Important for us to send a message of environmental protection".
