School community contributes for the benefit of planting trees in Carmel. Harei Eilat primary school , Headmistress, Nurit Haimovitz, decided to take part in the rehabilitation of forests in the north and recruited the students and their families for the operation: "Return the green Carmel". Every morning, the Jewish National Fund's blue box was passed around the classrooms to gather donations. ."The school community contributed generously," said school principal. During the month, 2,034 dollars was donated to plant 56 trees in the forest of Mount Carmel. The cheque was presented on Tu B'shvat during the school ceremony,attended by JNF representative."Motivation of parents and children to rehabilitate the forest is a proper role model behavior," said school principal, and added that even after delivering the check, the school community continues to contribute, contribution now stands at 2220 shekels to plant 61 trees in the forest of Mount Carmel.
