The Jewish Agency has taken upon itself to help the medical establishment in Israel, and recently sent a delegation to South Africa to recruit doctors. The recruitment will be for several hospitals in Israel who expressed an interest. Yoseftal in Eilat submitted a document listing the doctors that it needs. Some 20 doctors and their families are anticipated to arrive during 2009 from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay to Eilat. The Jewish Agency together with the Toronto Canada Fund, the hospital, the Eilat Municipality, and the Ministry of Absorption have put together a basket of benefits for the families of doctors signing an agreement with the general administration to serve in Eilat for three years. |
