Work has been begun on improvements to Route 90 (Arava Road), from the portion by the Malachah-Arava junction to the Tmarim-Arava junction.  A roundabout (traffic circle) will be built on the road at the junction between Avdat Blvd. and the Arava road (by the police station), and the asphalt along the stretch will be renewed.  The roadworks, expected to last about three weeks, are being done by the S. Noufi and Sons Ltd. contractors.  The cost of the roadworks is 3.2 million NIS, and is funded by the Ministry of Transportation and the Eilat Municipality.
