Following the incredible success of previous Isrotel Phaza Morgana events, the Isrotel hotel chain and the Batsheva Ensemble are proud to present the 7th Isrotel Phaza Morgana festival, which will be held in  Timna Park from  22-25/9 2011.
This spectacular event, which will once again take place at the foot of King Solomon's Pillars, is the very pinnacle of all the prestigious events and festivals produced by the Royal Beach hotel and Isrotel.
 

Thursday, September 22 – "Panorama" – A unique and exclusive desert performance

Performed by the Batsheva Ensemble with special guest dancers.
An evening that was created exclusively for the desert, featuring a new blend of especially popular segments from Naharin's previous works.
Panorama promises us a fresh and unusual viewing experience – a captivating journey that will showcase the versatility of the Dance Company and the exquisite beauty of the dancers' high caliber performances.
The length of the performance is approximately 70 minutes with no intermission.

Friday, September 23 – Spanish Fiesta Night!
Isrotel Phaza Morgana presents, for the very first time:
A desert performance by internationally-renowned flamenco artist Rafael Amargo and his dance company. This Seville-style fiesta to Timna Park will include the eagerly-awaited Israeli premiere of their new show, Rosso.
Rafael Amargo, one of the most outstanding and important flamenco artists worldwide, joins us in the desert with his company, which includes dancers, singers, and musicians, as they honor us with an exciting premiere performance of their new show, Rosso.
A dance party with featuring the colors of Spain will follow the performance.
Amargo, one of the world's most exceptionally talented flamenco artists, is considered to be the creator of a groundbreaking, youthful new wave in the genre that is sweeping across Spain and the world.
Amargo is an innovative choreographer and charismatic dancer who inspires his dance company to great heights while maintaining a modern approach combined with traditional flamenco. This unique combination makes him one of the most significant modern flamenco artists in the world today. At the Isrotel Phaza Morgana event, Amargo will present his new and acclaimed show, Rosso, which has only been performed in 4 locations across the globe (Madrid, Naples, Barcelona, and Bilbao).
The performance will feature 10 dancers, 4 musicians, and singers who will move the crowd with an exhilarating audiovisual experience of electrifying passion.
As Amargo himself explains: "Flamenco is like a fine wine that improves with age. From one year to the next both the show and I evolve and make our art into a larger than life experience. I look forward to performing Rosso during Isrotel Phaza Morgana at one of the most unique sites in the world."

Saturday, September 24 – An Idan Raichel Project performance with an international flavor
A special production for the Isrotel Phaza Morgana weekend.
Following three successful albums, including the successful "Within My Walls" tour to support the third album, numerous performances in Israel and overseas, as well as collaborations with international artists, the Idan Raichel Project will hold a celebratory concert in Timna Park as part of the Isrotel Phaza Morgana festival.
In this unique performance in the desert park, the Idan Raichel Project will create a once-in-a-lifetime experience, as the Project's music is accompanied by 30 guest performers including special guest artists from Israel and overseas, as well as musicians playing a variety of string, wind, and percussion instruments, as well as ethnic flutes.
Guest singers include: Mayra Andrade (Cape Verde), Karen Briggs (USA), and Montlafi Raeber Elnorah (South Africa).

A spectacular show featuring colors, voices, sounds, and rhythms from across the globe.
The show lasts approximately 2 hours.

All of the performances will take place in a huge amphitheater, which has been specially constructed in Timna Park, and will be dismantled at the end of the third performance that concludes the weekend's events. Seating at the amphitheater is in a multi-tiered stands on seats with a back rest. More seats will be added for the Saturday night performance.
Isrotel vacation packages include either the performance by the Batsheva Dance Company on Thursday or the flamenco performance on Friday.
On the three evenings of the event, guests may arrive at the complex from 7:00pm to enjoy the wonderful food, spectacular music, and unique desert atmosphere. Special performances will also be given by Batsheva dancers against the backdrop of the mountains, as well as other surprises.
A "taste of the desert" food avenue will be established at the site, featuring a central food service area, café, beverage bar, and sitting areas. It is well worthwhile to arrive at the complex early and enjoy this unparalleled experience in the heart of the desert.

Artists' Workshops
It's not every day that a flamenco artist of Rafael Amargo's caliber arrives in Israel, so we have planned an Isrotel Phaza Morgana flamenco party for him and the crowd! This unique workshop is for anyone who would like to experience the flavor of flamenco, take their first flamenco steps, and see the maestro up close!
Master classes for adults will take place throughout the entire weekend, including Gaga movement classes taught by Batsheva Dance Company dancers, as well as discussions with Ohad Naharin and Rafael Amargo. Entrance is free for all guests attending Isrotel Phaza Morgana. Come and share these incredible visions with us!
