The Eilat Port Company invested hundreds of thousands of shekels in order to put on this year's International Jazz Festival.  Part of that investment was on something not everyone might have even thought about:  The removal of some 5000 new cars that had arrived over recent months in order to clear space for the festival.  To do this, the Port rented 52 dunams near the entrance to Eilat, fenced off the area, installed lighting and fire extinguishing facilities, set up a guard tower, and installed guards to protect the vehicles.  That's before even starting the normal activities of preparing a site for a huge event with tens of thousands of attendees.
