EILATSINKINGSHIP45 Years have passed since the sinking of "INS", Eilat, [proudly bearing the name of the city] where 47 soldiers tragically lost their lives, including 2 soldiers from Eilat, the late Moshe Steinbach and Joseph Wadnitzki. Other Cities in Israel honoured the memory of these soldiers with monuments or street names, EXCEPT Eilat..45 years and 14 Mayors later, the families have finally fulfilled a dream. 

Thanks to the sympathetic ear of Yehuda Mordy, Eilat City will finally honour the memory of the two Eilat soldiers who lost their lives in the sinking of the INS Eilat  A remote road in the new and prestigious district, which is under construction, . bordering the hills above the port of Eilat, will be called - 'INS Eilat. . A small step for the city, a big step  for the families of the late, Joseph Wadnitzki and Moshe Steinbeach, who finally get a small commemoration for their loved ones.
