Perfect Time to Visit Eilat
Monday, 30 January 2012 14:27

erin11To me, Israel is really a place to visit in the summer. It is a desert, after all. These cold, rainy winter days (which yes, I know, are nothing when compared to the bitter winters in let's say New York or Russia) leave you wanting to stay indoors all day and hibernate until the summer sun makes its first appearance. In the meantime, there's still one place to go in Israel where you will be assured to find beautiful skies and perfect temperatures.

GeeWhizzAcollective: "Onwards"

Something's happening on the Israeli music scene in recent years, with international language attempts by daring local artists gaining momentum, stronghold and legitimacy courtesy of Indie outlets, multi-niche venues and enthusiastic audience… on a scope that's wider than back in the days when major labels ruled the market.
Acollective is such a daring, multi-talent bunch.

My favorite album of the year: a winter's tale
Wednesday, 28 December 2011 17:48
GeeWhizzDan Billu: "New Haircut"

Rarely does an album produce bona-fide escapism…
Here I am, sitting comfortably on my couch, sipping tea and peeping through the window in search for a cloud but to no avail. The local winter isn't satisfying, to say the least.
'Blame the weather', some might suggest, yet, rarely has an Israeli album caught my full attention in recent years… that is, until this very shiny disc came along, re-shuffled the cards
and re-measured the audible experience.

eligrillmanEnjoying a good steak at the Pedro Bistro Restaurant is a delightful experience, but talking to the grillman Eli, who takes so much pride in his meat, was another delightful experience on it's own.
Working as a butcher for many years, Eli learned and gained a lot of experience and knowledge in the world of "meat ".and  with all his experience, knowledge and  love for meat, he  became to be a proud  chef.
Now, with years of experience behind him, Eli tells us how he "treats" and smokes all of Pedro's meat, explaining the whole process.
"Some of the meats get aged and matured in a vacuum in the refrigerator, while other meats go through the process with no vacuum. The meat is thoroughly checked every morning and every evening, by me personally,
